Porch Challenge
My porch plantings, post of May 14, have been called out by a neighbor who claims theirs are nicer than mine.
He suggested I post pictures of his and have the public have their say. So that is what I am doing. The pictures on today's post are the challenger porch plantings. You can view mine at the May 14 posting.
Post your comments* and whose porch you feel is best!

I would have to say your neighbor's. Great use of color and space...Sorry Richard :)
Your flowers look real nice.
That close up shot looks like you airbrushed the snapdragons or Iris'. That's me, I like to STIR IT UP.
But seriously folks, yours is better.
Simon
Gotta say Richard's, I love those vibrant colors. Sorry J & A.

I'm a sucker for fuschia...Did I just say that? Cheers, looks good.
I would have to vote neighbor...your hanging baskets of fuschia is a pre planted bought hanging basket...I call schnanigans with the pre bought basket...I like how you call out your neighbor with the HD post (totally know it is you RZ)yet your baskets are pre planted...for shame sir for shame.
I would vote neighbor...air brushed is cheating...silly art teacher...go and do some work.
I vote for the Mothers-In-Law Toungue plants...those are great
WOW! Some give me way too much credit for spending time PhotoShopping, didn't happen!
And it was not I who called the neighbor out with the Home Depot post. Again, don't need to cheat.
As for the preplanted baskets, totally legit. Plant selection is part of the porch grooming!
And when I post, I use my name, unlike many others hiding behind the cloak of anonymity!
Sorry neighbors, you can definitely tell who the designer is. The pink ROCKS.
Neighbor. Great use of primary colors. Purple and pink? The 1980's called, they want their colors back.
Your garden is not only better, but it actually looks like you painstakingly layed the fauna in the dark rich earth by your loving hands (as opposed to buying pre-planted potpourri from the Home Depot garden department).

You guys are brutal!
I'm voting for my brother's porch garden and not just because he's my brother. He is passionate about the things he does and if there is anything he takes pride in and is proud of, it's his garden!

love the way you mixed them up yet keep the same colors. good stuff! vote - yes!
Your neighbor’s rustic ceramic pots add a distinctive and stylish elegance. Also, the colors are more vibrant and full with a variety of species. He gets the green thumbs award.
what picture you looking at? those pots are neither rustic or ceramic. the were decorative terra cotta INDOOR pots from Home Depot and the finish has come off over the past couple years.
garden? I see a total of 6 potted plants. Where's the imagination?! Why don't you get a used bathtub or something and grow some corn and tomatoes, some sunflowewrs and then you can transplant some of those Home Depot pots.
I think both of your "gardens" suck!
ok, i found it.. did you win?? i hope so!!
R, you had to win it hands down!
WAY to go!!! Congrats!
